Mesut Ozil is back on United's radar, according to The Sun. The Real Madrid schemer is rated in the £24million class by the newspaper who, it feels, could be a replacement for Paul Scholes after Luka Modric arrived at the Bernabeu to offer competition for his place.

Arsenal and United have been alerted after it was revealed Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze has a release clause of £30 million. The Daily Mail thinks the 20-year-old could be reunited with Shinji Kagawa at Old Trafford.

Tom Cleverley will have a scan this morning and we'll see what he's like. It's his calf injury, which is a worry, but we'll see. I thought Kagawa may have done enough to make the bench on Sunday but I don't think he'll be available until the Sunderland game. Vida, he's doing well in training but I think the game on Sunday is a bit soon. I think he'll be ready for Sunderland. I know we've got a few injuries at the moment but we've got a big strong squad of players. Nani and Valencia are still out. It will be a few weeks with them.

The Manchester United squad player Bébé has joined the Portuguese side Rio Ave on loan. "I'm fully prepared to play and happy to wear the jersey of Rio Ave FC. I'll give everything," he told the club website. "I've come here to show what I'm worth."

Wigan Athletic are delighted to announce that Chilean international striker Angelo Henriquez has joined the club on loan for the rest of the season from Manchester United.

Joshua King has left Manchester United after signing a permanent contract with Blackburn Rovers.

The 20-year-old striker has been on loan at Ewood Park since November and has penned a deal until the summer of 2015.
