Slane and Roberts Sign

The club today completed the signatures of Paul Slane and Mark Roberts until the end of the season.

Slane, 23, left Ayr United during the January transfer window and is formerly of Motherwell and Celtic. During his time at Celtic Park, the winger also featured in loan spells at Milton Keynes Dons and Partick Thistle.

Veteren forward Roberts has enjoyed a long career in the game, most notably with Kilmarnock, Airdrie, Partick Thistle and Ayr United. Like Slane, Mark recently parted company with the Somerset Park club, following a three-year spell as their player-manager.

Pollock Returns on Loan

The club has completed the loan signature of Jamie Pollock from Albion Rovers.

Pollock, 23, is returning for a second spell with Clyde, following a similar loan deal in 2012 when he played in nine matches and scored two goals. The midfielder began his career at Motherwell and has also been on the books of East Fife and Junior side Pollok.

Barry Ferguson Retires

Following the news published on Friday that Barry Ferguson will not be able to play again this season due to injury, it's now been confirmed that the Clyde manager has been forced to officially retire from the game.

Barry enjoyed a long and highly successful career in football, during which time he amassed a number of honours including five Scottish Premier League titles, five Scottish Cup victories, an English League Cup winner's medal and 45 Scotland caps.

Nachdem Barry Ferguson ordentlich feucht durchgewischt hat (13 (!!) Spieler wurden entlassen) gab es nun die ersten beiden Neuverpflichtungen für die kommende Saison: Von Dumbarton kommen Archie Campbell und Scott Linton.

Wundert mich, dass beide gleich 2 Ligen tiefer unterschrieben haben. Ist ja nicht so, dass die zwei bei den Sons nur Bankdrücker waren.

Schon in dieser Saison hat Clyde ja durchaus höherklassige Spieler gelockt und geholt, aber bisher hat es ja nicht allzuviel gebracht. Mal schauen wie lange Barry Ferguson noch machen darf, was er will. Bei Blackpool als Interimstrainer war er ja fast erfolgreicher als bisher in Cumbernauld

Haben denn "the bully wee" Kohle um es Spielern aus höheren Ligen schmackhaft zu machen?

Muss ja irgendwie, letzte Saison sind ja schon Leute wie O`Donnell, etc. gekommen. Und so´n Barry Ferguson macht den Job auch nicht für Nüsse. Von den Verhältnissen bei Clyde habe ich aber keine Ahnung, das ist so gar nicht meine Ecke. Weiß nur, dass sie über Jahre 1,4 Mio. Schulden abgebaut haben und seit letztem Jahr (?) schuldenfrei sind.

Wie dem auch sei: Neuzugang Nummer 3 steht auf der Matte.

Barry Ferguson has announced another addition to his squad this evening, as Chris Smith joins Clyde from Stirling Albion.

Smith, a 26-year-old defender, has agreed a one-year contract with the club.

The club is pleased to announce the signature of Michael Bolochoweckyj from East Stirling.

Michael is a vastly experienced defender, with nearly 300 appearances in the Scottish senior game under his belt in his career to date.

The 31-year-old, previously of Ross County, Alloa Athletic, Berwick Rangers and Forfar Athletic, has agreed a one-year deal with The Bully Wee.
