I've been researching the global transfer market and found that the Italian league seems to have been importing about 200 more players than it has been exporting over the last 15 years, at least. I haven't been able to figure out why. Any ideas?

This has to do with the youth players who are included in the first squad, which means that the squads have increased significantly on average. It is not uncommon in Italy to have more than 30 players in the squad.
